JACK "THE KING" KIRBY

I decided to do a Kirby swipe just for fun and ended up learning a lot from it.

Even though it was my "take" on his drawing, it's amazing what I learned about how he

positioned the figure,the foreshortening, and the power of the drawing.

I used a marker to "ink" it and I should've used a pitt pen and not done it on textured paper.

Still, it got me inspired to pull out some of his art and copy it for the fun of it like I used to do, and to see what else I can learn. Never to old to learn right? KIRBY  KIRBY  KIRBY!!!!!

Left hand drawing......

This is my attempt at drawing with my left hand. It's more scratchy,and choppy, but it's my left hand. I'm a righty and any of the drawings you see here,unless they're noted, they're done with my natural drawing hand, which is my right. I do have other posts here and you can compare them if you like. Also, please let me know what you think. Thanks.

I was just goofing around and sketching and came up with this drawing. I was actually just trying to draw a guy with horns and a guy that was a hippie. I ended up with this. I laughed when I was done.I hope you get a laugh too.

The Fantastic Four

This is my version of the Fantastic Four. I really like the Thing, because usually I have a tuff time trying to draw him.....I guess I was on a roll when I did this drawing.....I actually like this one...........

This is a simple drawing I tried to do. The girl on the right had her eye complete, but my scanner seemed to cut it off... I don't feel I was simple enough with this....Oh well.....

This is Kristen. Don't ask me why I named her that way, but she just felt like a Kristen to me........Tho' I'm not too sure I got the "doe" eyes I wanted right...................

It's been almost a month since I posted, but work has been crazy and I'm trying to help my daughter finish up stuff at school so she can graduate 8th grade. But anywho, I'm posting a few more things and this falls under my nicknames post. Johan seems like a guy with a french accent that would say, " Doan meess withe me or I'll keeeck your Azzz!" And Raquel seems like a woman who could give the Desperate Housewives some advice....LOL.....
